Arundinaria occurs as genus of bamboo (tribe Bambuseae), commonly called canes. A genus is astir 150 coinage, is indigen to the Himalaya, North America and China. This is the exclusively bamboo genus to occur each in the Old and New World.

A genus Oligostachyum is sometimes considered the equivalent word of Arundinaria.
